Having trouble with DT466C/AT545 Combo
I posted this in the incorrect forum..twice...I think. Putting my DT466C in my 31 Buick realllllll soon. Need ya'll to help me though. My diesel is going in my hot rod, so some of the weaknesses of the AT545 will not hurt me as much as bigger/ heavier rigs. Will post pics soon.
Ran into a sticking point though. I have a '91 DT466c motor and a AT545 trans. I have the 466 to AT 545 adapter plate on the flange. Problem, my torque converter seems to be too small to bolt to the flex plate. Do I need a new TC or Flexplate (or both)?
The flexplate for the DT466E has 12 bolts at the center mounting point and mine only has eight. Further, the TC is almost far away from the flexplate. Help! Lol Part numbers would be AWESOME if you got em!
