Hey guys how much power will the factory turbo put out. I'm wanting 350-400, but trying not to put too much money into it right now. I don't drive it much, the company I work for gives me a truck to drive. I use my 250 to pull my tractor, or if someone breaks down I go get my care hauler. I would lie to have the power I have now, but don't know what the cummis is capable of.

it's a 94 12v? do you know what turbo is on it? I believe they were not all hx35's back then but I am not sure. if it has hx 35 it will make 350-400. Just get the thing in and running get a 4k gsk for it. You will be surprised how much a gsk kit does and do valve springs while your at it. Later on a nice 57 or 58mm s300 and some mild injectors and you will have plenty of power.

What numbers Do I look for? How do you install the 4k gsk? What mods are cheap while the engine is out. The valve springs are whatever the machine shop put in them.

the turbo should have a tag on it look up the numbers to see what you have. the 4gsk goes into the ppump. I would not do 4k gsk without adding better springs than stock as you can float the vavles. get a custom ground fuel plate or order a 100 plate

I will check the turbo when I get back tithe shop, how hard are the springs to install, how much are 60# springs, I have heard of people that run no fuel plate, is it bad or just better to get a 100 plate?

The numbers are
Type wh1c
Assy 3533320
Holset
02f3n on the compressor housing

I guess it's pretty much the same as hx 35 just a different clamp setup. I don't know about installing 4kgsk or price on 60# springs. I was given a reason why a fuel plate is better than no plate but it was a while ago and don't remember the exact reasons. But he knows his stuff very well and has made over 1k on fuel alone back in 2007

I'm going to take my injection pump to the rebuilder and swap it for another one, talked to him about the 4kgs and a fuel plate and he said that they don't do that stuff there, so does anyone know where to buy them? And how to go the gsk? Any other things that I should do to the inside of my engine while it's tore down? Any advice I'd greatly appreciate.

You can swap the IP for a higher hp version, but theres really no need in it unless its shot. In the long run, you can get just as much power out of a 160/175 pump as you can a 180/215.

Fuel plate you can do yourself, or buy a precut one. The GSK and valvesprings should be able to be purchased from many of the vendors on here.
