I have both sides of the idi harness just don't have the cluster, I'll be glad to get rid of this comport though. What kind of frame and x over mods did you have to do to your truck, I'm guessing you used the ford t case?

The deal is I've encountered people who said they've heard about other people who had bad experiences with them, but I have never personally encountered someone who had that experience, at least until I can hear a personal tale it seems like heresy to me (no offense to you meant ). There's two or three on this site who are running them with no problems, personally they worked like a charm for me.

To each his own, I would encourage the OP to shop around, gather opinions, and pick the one he likes best. Just my .02

01quadcab, how much did those mounts run you?

How far back do the fordcummins motor mounts move your engine? How much did they cost?

I used the Getrag/NP205 combo from the '90 Dodge donor truck, along with the front Dana 61 (since my truck was originally 2wd). I didn't have to mod the crossmember at all (the first go around)...I just made an adapter to use the IDI motor mounts, so the crossmember stayed the same. The SECOND engine though, I notched the crossmember deeper to make getting the engine in easier, and fabbed some motor mounts using some Ballistic Fabrication bushings. I think the next go around, when I pull the motor to freshen up, I'm going to cut out the factory crossmember, build a removeable one, and go with the double 1st Gen isolaters (like the Auto World ones mentioned earlier by 01quadcab)...

As far as the wiring, I suppose that if you have both sides of the harness (in cab and underhood), you should be golden...just might take some trick splicing under the dash for idiot lights and stuff, but I don't see how it would be too bad.

I am following a couple builds on comp d and one bought a set and decided to build his own. The other guy but a set years ago and is doing 2 fummins a 89 and a 95 and said he would never use their parts again as he bought the whole kit and didn't like it had issues etc. I guess ford cummins has sold a few times over the years so things change. The mounts were not cheap but the are sturdy. a buddy of mine is thinking of making his own off what I got. I have already installed a mock up motor and will be able to run dodge fan and clear radiator. It all fits nicely. I am just waiting for my motor to be finished and I will be installing it all. compound turbos 47rh trans triple disc converter billet shafts. 500hp daily driver 700hp capable. So I wanted mounts that would hold the power. prob doing a dana 80 swap too

pm me for links on these builds if you want to see first hand.

I'm down in Duncan; 'bout an hour south of OKC. Mine is kind of a mess right now and not at all how I would like it to be, but you're welcome to check it out for what it's worth.

I know my location says Stillwater, which would only be an hour from you, but I'm actually in Eufaula for the rest of the semester, which is about 2 hours. I'm gonna be pretty busy for the next few months but if we can work something out you're welcome to come check it out, and I'll give you what advice I can.

I was doing some research on the ford 300, and notices that it had a 4.0 bore, and the cummins has a 4.02 bore on the cylinder. So my question is, how much longer is the 5.9 compared to the 4.9?
