Fummins Transmission question
Getting ready to start working again on my fummins. Have a 01 24v P-Pump motor. Ran numerous ideas through my head about which transmission to use. Have thought of going with a BTS E4OD, a 47rh, or NV4500 or NV5600. Wanting something with little to no electronics which had me settled on the 47rh or the 5 or 6spd. What kind of power can the 47rh handle if built right? When I bought the engine it had an adapter for the auto on it wouldve been for the 47re is that same bolt pattern as the 47rh?

i vote for the nv4500, i would stay away from a 5600, just because they are so expensive and harder to repair. 4500 will bolt up with stock parts, and they are tough, all the horror stories about the fifth gear nut, at least the ones i have seen torn down, are usually caused by the driver overloading the truck. just because a cranked up cummins can haul a freightliner on a flatbed, dosent mean you should...

there are some pictures of my motor mounts in there
I used the motor mounts off a 2000 24v they let the engine sit lower
I used 12x12 3/8 plate steel for bottom the uprights are 4" x 1/2 metal set it in tacked it in place marked my holes and you are done the rear cross member I had to cut and drop it 1 1/2" for clearance but I am running a nv4500
