Blowing the oil filter O-ring out!
Like the title says my rubber O-ring on my oil filter blows out when anything over an idle!
I just rebuilt the Cummins 5.9 and installed new oil pump and filter along with the usual bearings and gaskets! It not like its my first rebuild, but actually its probably like my 10th or 11th, and it has me stumped!!
Anyone ever have this happen to them?

High Oil Pressure Problems!
Well I found out the nature of the problem a couple of weeks ago and took some pictures of the problem!
It turns out all oil coolers and NOT the same! Look at the picture and see that there is no lower hole for the oil to drain back into the block. The outer gasket had a hole in it for the return but there was no hole in the plate. It had a upper drain hole, but the gasket was covering it.
I pulled the front oil cooler plate off that the filter screws on and looked at that plate and thought that something looked strange, and after looking at it for a couple of hours it dawned on me!
Anyone elyse see one of these?
