Id like to check out another swap in person, I work in San antonio
Sorry to say no. Right now I am in the process of collecting parts and getting a game plan. https://www.dieselbombers.com/diesel...0-ext-cab.html

I haven't ran a ihi turbo yet but I did alot of testing with the yanmar and I was getting near identical results as redveloce with the tdo3 Volvo turbo and the teo4h Mitsubishi turbo slightly smaller that the td04 Subaru turbo he had. I also tried a tc05 from a 2.3 Mitsubishi turbo diesel ranger a garret from a tdi 1.9 vw and a airreaserh m10. All had a few differences and this kkk k03 was next in line when it popped. So that's were I started with the kubota

Rangmar since we are talking Turbo's do you use or recommend a Manual Boost Controller of some kind with the K03 Turbo?

Went on my first semi-long interstate run today with the new turbo, 216.4 miles total on 6.56 gallons of fuel, for a MPG of 32.94.....50 of that was city driving. That's about a 3 MPG increase over any other turbo I've tried Can't wait to see what I can get with the DI engine. Anyone know the difference in the efficiency of the IDI vs. DI, I think it's about 25% but I can't remember where I got that figure.

Do You Feel Like Reading a little Bit? Banks Power | Diesel Evolution

Direct injection diesels are as much as 15 percent more efficient than IDI diesels in terms of thermal efficiency. Power and torque output is up to 40 percent better with DI. Additionally, fuel consumption is up to 30 percent less, and that means carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon emissions are reduced by a similar amount. The transition of the burning gases from the precombustion chamber to the cylinder in IDI diesels results in significant heat losses into the cylinder head and cylinder walls, which reduces efficiency.

No Problem. See I told you I read to much.

So From what you have now and nothing else changes then it should bring your MPG into the 40.0 - 43.0 MPG range or so. not bad for a Smoking Dragon.

I've thought about an automatic but I don't know how the low RPM range these engines run would effect the auto transmission. I would stay with the 5 speeds, better control and not to mention the auto trans require more H.P. to operate. Just wait there will be a truck along soon, there are tons of S-10's out there and they are at the age where engines are failing.

Im starting a project of my own now that im in diesel school and i was given a fully functioning inline 4 cylinder kubota diesel from a carrier reefer and im debating on either just buying the transmission and making a 4x4 toy or making a road truck how much money have you had in the trucks machining wise
