Definite change in the turbo noise, as soon as you start the truck you can hear the turbo spool up at idle. I like hearing it, I ordered one of those cone type air filters that I'm gonna try on it, should make it even louder. And you're right about the availability of the turbos, they are everywhere and cheap!

They might be everywhere where you are but down here in South TEXAS they are as rare as Chicken lips

But it looks as though so far thanks to Rangemar 3 people are running the K03. Usedkubotaman,Gaines and Rangemar and I have one on the way. But I had to go to Argggggggggg E Barf to find one.

on this taper. working from the aft forward. under the bolt head on the bellhousing I get a measurement that is .030" less than at the face of the bellhousing that mates to the engine block.
No one else has noticed this?

I know when I'm at the gas station or pulling into almost any parking lot ill let it idle a few seconds and it gets alot of attention just because the turbo sound at idle. I'm running a ford windstar cone style filter and air box. Fits real good in my truck and flows great I had the factory panel filter from the 3.0 and didn't like it I also had a cheap spectra washable filter and I couldn't build a air box I was happy with. I take this truck everywhere, if I want to go through 3ft of snow one day and a creek the next I will and I didn't want to worry about my filer sucking water or snow

Rangmar I know one thing for sure. After the picture you put up I will never doubt you about the snow part.

How did you go from $89.00 to $140.00?

Great to hear it's the best one you have tried! Now I am thinking I may be leaving a little on the table with my turbo, even though mine is the best one I have tried. Hopefully Rangemar and I can meet up soon and do some side by side tests.

Rangmar, any idea how that turbo compares to the ihi rhf4? I don't really know how to read compressor maps. I'm thinking of going a little larger than my rhf4, seems like it could handle a slightly larger turbo. Jester, have you completed a swap in a vehicle? Id like to check out another swap in person, I work in San antonio
