Valve is installed, unfortunately I still need to address a few items before I get to start her....soon

I believe a stored source of vacuum may be a necessary item.
I'm planning on running one of these:
COMP Cams/Zinc Plated and Polished Aluminum Vacuum Canister (5201) | | AutoZone.com

As far as the pump goes the elect pump has much press for the mb.
I took the stock pump out and just put a pickup tube in its place.
As far as the shutoff put a piece of line on the pump with it running and suck on it to see if it shuts off if so you have a leak. Brakes work great on mine with on problem sounds like you might have a vacuum leak or bad pump.As far as the lights need more info on that one.
