Default 6.0-6.4

I was wondering if anyone had any information on swapping a 6.0 Powerstroke out for a 6.4? I know you can get INSANE power out of a 6.4 after you get all the EGR and emissions crap off of it. Will it even bolt to my original trans?

trans is the same. not sure how the rest of it all works. but I bet the 6.4 would be better than the 6.0

2005 and 2006 6.0L powerstrokes are the #3 best motor ever built by Ford FYI for all you guys.

Warranty claim, service #'s, $'s, lemon buybacks, etc are all EXTREMELY low for those 6.0's in the last 2 years of productions.......

The ford 300 I-6 gas and the ford 302 are the only motors higher in their ratings.....

The ford 6.4 on the other hand requires cab removal for service and is three times as likely for mild to catosrophic failure then an 05 or 06 6.0L

These are statistics guys.... not emotions and 'opinions on the internet'

You mean 06 and 07 6.0? I've come to know the 6.4 as a power monster once the emission crap is off, granted a heavy engine

Im not sure but isnt the 6.4 really only fast because of the fact it is twin turbo?therefore couldnt you put a twin turbocharger on it for less time, money and effort?Like I said I really do not know my 6.0/6.4 psd's.

Im sure he could get more power out of the 6.0 for the price of swapping the engines. But the thing with the 6.4 is they make huge tunes for them, and can make close to 600rwhp on tune only.

Im a huge Ford guy, and I stick up for the 6.0 more than most people I know, but I just can't agree with this statement. The 6.0 in stock form is a bad engine, I dont care what year it is. I have personally known people with 6.0's from 03 all the way to 07 that have the same problems. And at the same time I know people with 6.0's from 03 all the way to 07 that never had a problem, its just a chance you take, and an expensive one at that if you dont do the preventative maintenance. Now after you do a couple of things (EGR delete, etc.), they're a good engine.

And on top of that I dont know how in the (heck) you place the 6.0 ahead of the 7.3
