6.0-6.4
I was wondering if anyone had any information on swapping a 6.0 Powerstroke out for a 6.4? I know you can get INSANE power out of a 6.4 after you get all the EGR and emissions crap off of it. Will it even bolt to my original trans?

trans is the same. not sure how the rest of it all works. but I bet the 6.4 would be better than the 6.0

2005 and 2006 6.0L powerstrokes are the #3 best motor ever built by Ford FYI for all you guys. Warranty claim, service #'s, $'s, lemon buybacks, etc are all EXTREMELY low for those 6.0's in the last 2 years of productions....... The ford 300 I-6 gas and the ford 302 are the only motors higher in their ratings..... The ford 6.4 on the other hand requires cab removal for service and is three times as likely for mild to catosrophic failure then an 05 or 06 6.0L These are statistics guys.... not emotions and 'opinions on the internet' ~M |
You mean 06 and 07 6.0? I've come to know the 6.4 as a power monster once the emission crap is off, granted a heavy engine

Im not sure but isnt the 6.4 really only fast because of the fact it is twin turbo?therefore couldnt you put a twin turbocharger on it for less time, money and effort?Like I said I really do not know my 6.0/6.4 psd's.
