Errors are avoided with good advice.
I have a 1952 Ford F3 that runs pretty well, but could use paint. I also have a 6bt Cummins with a C6 automatic with gear vendor overdrive, 80k miles out of a blue bird bus. Is this a viable transplant? Should I look for a 4bt? I would like to keep the stock running gear with a disc brake conversion later on. Has anyone out there done this before? My fab work is not as nice as some of the work I have seen here, but with some advice so I do not have to do things twice I think I can get it done.

with a trans already bolted up to your 6bt,the conversion would be pretty straightforward, there would need to be NO DOUBT about the quality of the welding on the new engine mounts or the transmission crossmember.
the rest of the work would centre around plumbing the wires and pipes.
always budget more time and money than you first thought.
the finnished truck sounds like it would be really neat-any pictures?we like pictures.
