I have a 1952 Ford F3 that runs pretty well, but could use paint. I also have a 6bt Cummins with a C6 automatic with gear vendor overdrive, 80k miles out of a blue bird bus. I guess that makes me a potential owner of sorts.: Is this a viable transplant? I would like to keep the stock running gear with a disc brake conversion later on. Has anyone out there done this before?

older trucks have been done before but it can be pricey with puttin the cummins in there. i dont know how bad it will be on an older truck. theres some guys on here that've done similar things

 

I looked at a conversion but live in a large city where the smog laws are soon to become restrictive. I would suggest you inquire about the smog laws in your area before you build a truck that you can't get registered or inspected.
