i will be doing my swap soon, ill document the process on here. Im doing my wifes 2000 2wd excursion. im swappin in a 97 12v with a 47rh tranny behind it. It is going to be replaceing the 5.4 gas motor in it right now so i can get better than the 13mpg i get right now. Im shootin for over 20 on the hwy and over 16 in town.

 

FWIW, my wife might finally be a Diesel convert. It's only taken 12 years and 3 trucks. (my Ram, daughter's Liberty and son's Cummins repowered Ramcharger)

 

They all eventually see the ligh.. er, dark.. and want a diesel..
