Bigger injectors and a bigger turbo. Perfect truck to upgrade.

From my angle, a 7.3 in place of a 6.0 would be about the equivalent of a 350 in a honda, mounts, harness, trans, the whole 9.. I'll almost put money on the fact that the 6.0 has a blown head gasket, common really, but still no fun.. Still however, I would have to agree with it being more sanity efficient to go with fixxing the 6.0, but dont see the injectors/turbo as being your big problem with it.

Why would you want to downgrade to the 7.3? Fix the 6.0

the 7.3 may be older, but i wouldn't really call it a downgrade. the 7.3s are bullet proof, the 6.0s, not so much, wanting to swap them in my mind is understandable, even if not so easily feasible.

i agree with the 6.0 its such a peice of **** once problems start...my grandpas truck is the worst year the 2004 and we replaced head gaskets 5 times and rebuilt turbo 3 times and still were looking to put a 7.3 in it.... if u do rebuild the 6.o put arp head studds in.

If you fix it right the first time (ARP studs and EGR delete or cooler upgrade) You wouldn't have done it a second time.

and rebuilt turbo 3 times
Again, fix it right the first time. Carbon sticking of the vanes doesn't constitute rebuilding the entire turbo.
