Yea, it runs alot better with the other IP. I will be checking mpg's soon and see if that changed. Glad to hear you are making progress, I'll have to stop by sometime.

MPG update. Well I just filled up and was very pleased to find the mpg's stayed at 25.7 with the IP change. This is mixed driving to & from work, very little freeway. The power is way up and the trans is shifting better by not having to keep my foot burried. I also noticed the freeway runs needed alot less throttle and showed a lower boost reading at cruise. Can't wait for the next road trip!! O yea, the IP timing is set at 26-27 deg.

Yea, I have read that but the only adjustment I have made so far is the alda. I don't think I'll need to do any more as it has plenty of power now and max mpg's is my goal.

Well, my Jeep scales in at 3900lbs with 1/2 tank of fuel and me, so if yours scales less than that its all good! I wouldn't go by what the title says, get it scaled.

Would there be any problems with using a 2000 Cherokee with this swap? Any chance of using the AW4? I was planning on swapping the rear for a 44 with 4.56 gears and putting 33's on. Anybody looked into using the OM603 with updated casting?

I considered using the aw4 at first, but my jeep came with the tq flight trans so I went with the 700r4. The early aw4 has a stand alone computer, but I think the later ones have it as part of the ecu, so that would make it more of a challenge. I think there is a guy that put a 60X in a Samuri.
