Default 24v internals in a 12v block

What are the differences in a 12v block versus a 24v block. I have a perfectly good 96 12v engine (minus the KDPed case) and a 99 24v truck with the famous cracked 53 block. What would be easier (or even possible) putting the 24v internals into the 12v block or swapping the 24v for the 12v. Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated!

Im pretty sure the heads can swap and you would have to get the injector pop pressure changed for the p7100 injector pump. Not quite sure about everything else.

O okay I think the blocks are all the same. I do recall someone talking about how some of the gens are the same as the others.

the block is the exact same. the piston dish on a 24 valve is the only difference really in the lower end. as for the block though, everything will go right in

sorry to tell ya, but u are wrong.

the 12v, at least the 94 model i know for sure doesnt have the right bolt patterns for the motor mounts. and the 12v block doesnt have the port in the side of the block for the crank sensor.

The 96 block is not exactly the same as 99. The 96 block does not have the cut out for the crank sensor, as mentioned before the motor mounts are different.
