here is how we ran the wires to the factory ecm.

i still have to go through the factory chevy harness and delete out the wires that wont be used. and then i can loom it all up.

all the wait to start, water in fuel, oil pressure, electrical, intake heaters, all the sensors and everything work. this thing screams when it runs

SWEET project!! Looks awesome so far!

It's cool to see more of these around. I'd also love to do a 73-87 K30 cummins swap.

Nice work man, thanks for all the pics, I've got an 89 here I'm about to do the same thing. Keep us updated By the way I often wondered if the cheapy engine stand could hold a Cummins. I've got a block only on mine, I was afraid to try to build the whole motor on it. Not anymore

i bought a COMPLETE truck for my swap, and im just shy of 15,000 dollars invested. the cummins oil pan will not clear the stock ifs in a 4wd youll have to straight axle it as well. took about 4 months and 1000's of hours. if you dont have time or money, dont try, it isnt for the faint hearted

what cheap engine stand are you talkin about that is a 700 dollar NORCO USA built engine stand made of all 1/4" steel with heavy duty casters
