but one day right up the neighborhood i came across a 95 k2500 6.5L diesel for 650 bucks with a clean body, no backfees, and it already have the diesel ready frame.
ordered my motor mounts from autoworld MT and got them ready to go and cleaned up and paitned the firewall and frame:

Motor is in the truck now:

Name: DSCF2193.jpg

here is the stock chevy core support modded to use the dodge intercooler and radiator with factory chevy ac condensor:

i ordered the ac and alternator rebracket kit from autoworld but itll be a next week or so before they get here

i ended up with the 93 cummins 12 valve, the auto trans with overdrive and the stock dodge transfer case.

next week i will do all of the electrical and post some final pics when its back together

cant wait for paint, stacks, and some 44" tires

just workin out the last of the kinks still trying to figure out the hydroboost, speedometer, starter (hittin the front diff) and gettin the transfer case in (hit the torsion bar crossmember). but its coming along well. i will soon be painting it dark gm metallic green and building it just like my red one. selling the red one to pay for this project.

send me a message if you have any questions with your swap ill try and help (cant promise anything though im only 20 years old haha!)

HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT!!!!!!!

Awesome project. The motor looks great painted like that. I have been wanting to do a swap like this in an 73-87 chevy truck but I just don't know what trans and t case I should get. Did you end up using the dodge trans?

yes i did. i bought a complete cummins 4wd truck for 1500 bucks and started tearing it apart. i am having all trouble in the world getting the transfer case in due the torsion bar cross member and having problems clearing my starter on the differential. so today i tore out all the front suspension and started my straight axle project

thanks guys! ill keep pics of it as i go. ill have all the suspension in the front out of it tomorrow. going to pick up an 8 lug dana 44 tonight just to roll around until i find a chevy side dana 60. i used the offroad direct straight axle kit last time on my red one might do the same might just fab my own this time not sure

i just picked up my column shift column (there was no key when i bought this truck) so i can now start screwing with the shift linkage and electrical

im confused as to how i can get the speedometer to work with the dodge transmission anyone know?

theyre easy to find where im at. but the cummins uses a chevy side drop so ill just use a chevy d60. i can get a kingpin 79 f350 high pinion 60 right up the road for 750 bucks complete. thats about what theyre worth around here
