dana 44 vs weight and stress of a cummin = failure

i couldnt get mine to clear for the life of me, if i moved it up any higher, it hit the hood. but also the transfer case was smack dab in the middle of the way of the torsion bar crossmember, so straight axlin it was just the way to go in every aspect. plus i wanted to do it eventually

and also whatd you do with your starter? my starter also hit the front differential as well.

do you have a lift or anything or is yours all stock height?

yeah, it will clear with IFS, many people have done it. Call up autoworld and ask them.

thats who i ordered everything from. i had the OD auto trans from the dodge and it was physically impossible to clear the t case. im sure you could do it with a non OD as its like 8 inches shorter, but thats the problem that i hit. i couldnt clear my starter at all from the driver side diff. that was a no go all the way around

Everything cleared just fine, I did crank the torsion bars up a little but nothing major. NO BODY LIFT EITHER. And I still have about 2" clearance from hitting my hood as well.

ya if i couldve cranked the torsion bars up i wouldve had clearance too i wouldve been fine.

im sure if i wouldve used the chevy tranny and transfer or even originally used the 5 speed now i have it wouldve cleared the torsion bar crossmember with a 2 piece driveline. i think it was the OD unit on the original 46rh i used that caused all my problems
