I have a 2001 2500HD 6.0, a friend of mine has a neighbor that had his 2001 LB7 t-boned and the truck is sitting in his yard, besides the motor, long bed (mine is short) the 2 trucks are identical, down to the color. The diesel has less then 60k mileage and my 6.0 has a little over a 100k

my question is this if I take the motor, trans, and computer will it be a simple bolt up? are the motor mounts in the same place?

and if i attempt to do this swap what other thing should i look into swaping out from truck to truck.

Is it even worth my time to try to do an engine swap
