Thanks for the props fellas. I used my production 4BT motor mounts and the first gen. dodge insulators. There were no firewall mods or frame mods. The PCM is now a dedicated Instrument panel computer. I'm probably going to sell this truck shortly, so if you hear of anyone interested, let me know.

Here is a link to the build thread.

if your going to solid axle it, use the Pure Performance solid axle kit cause it lets you use a 2003 and up dodge 9.25 AAM axle along with the factory speed sensors.......so the truck has absolutely no idea it has a solid axle......plus its a coilover lift so it will ride awesome.....

That Pure Performance kit is big bucks. Not saying the guy can't afford to do it all, but ORU offers conversion kits for around 1500. You have to supply the axles and springs but could be much more cost effective. Or at least allow him to take the saved money and put it into some power parts....

Yeah, ditto on the Pure Performace conversions. IIRC, some of the conversion kits with lift cost up to $17,000....If it were me I'd rather spend $1500, and go leaf-sprung front end.

Hmm...it appears that it's pretty damn hard to find a good '77-'79 front axle from a Ford though...

I really want a solid axle conversion now.
