I have a 215hp 12v I could put it back together and play with it to see how far down you can hold the valve until the piston comes in contact with it. I could also check how much lift the can has on the rocker arm to see how far the valve is traveling as well. A 24v would be different, but in a week or so I should have a common rail as well.

I agree it would be badass to have one if it can be done and work right.

If it worked better than an exhaust brake, I'd be interested in one. Hard to say how awesome it is when there isn't one available isn't it?

Can't be that hard, probably just not a big demand for them is why nobody makes one. But yeah, if someone gets a setup made and it works better than an exhaust brake, I'd look at it.

As far as the kids running around with them, can it be any worse than all the kids that think it's cool to fog out town?

My understanding of how these work is the exhaust valve opens during what would normally be the power stroke, releasing the cylinder pressure instead of leaving it to push back against the piston, thus making the engine "drag" harder. Is that correct?
