Default 1st gen 12v p pump conversion questions

I'm p pumping a 1st gen engine and I'm wondering can I use 2nd gen 12v injectors in the 1st gen and will there any difference if I did that

I've been considering p pumping my 93. What's the benefit of p pump over my stock ve?

More reliable you can get good performance out of it as well as mpg's that's just a little of what it does

Ok. I found one off a guy for $300. Needs new governor springs. Is there anything else I need besides the gear to do the conversion? I'm going to put a fass fuel system on so I won't be needing a new lift pump.

You are going to need a pump gear housing from a newer 12 valve you will need injector lines i believe cause they won't thread on they are different threads you will need the bracket that holds the pump it's on the side of the block That's the major stuff

IIRC, and I could be wrong, the injectors' ports were different diameters and thread-pitches. 2nd-gen injectors might not go into a 1st-gen block at all. THAT BEING SAID, (and, IF it's true) you could probably still use 1st-gen injectors, but with new nozzles that duplicate the 2nd-gen spray/delivery/pop-off pressures
