Intercooler came in today. Looks like it's going to fit well with very little PSI drop. Does the forum have any hood scoop recommendations?

that style of cooler I guess is what I meant to say... I was thinkin bein that close to the exhaust might heat soak it.. on that note tho Ive seen some pictures where a guy used a Subaru wrx hood scoop and then household floor vents on his xj an I think it turned out pretty badass

 

Heat soak is always an issue especially with TMIC. I'm going to do everything I can to minimize it (intercooler tray, turbo blanket, exhaust wrap) but in the end the pros of the TMIC far out weigh the cons when compared to FMIC in a 4X4 vehicle.

 

Turbo blanket looks fantastic!

 

Tapped the turbo oil feed for 3/8" NPT to 4an.

 

Here we go again.

 

Made some stainless heat shields.
