that looks pretty good, I'm curious to see how it runs once you get it put back together.

Here is the completed oil pan. Started with Koch's oil pan kit for TJ (quality piece just not Cherokee specific). Removed 1/2" from the depth, notched the front for track bar and drag link clearance

. Replaced 45* back portion with 90* for increased capacity and improved sump at high angles, added port to left side for oil temp sender and relocated the drain to bottom right corner so it's not directly over the axle. Looks like it's going to work perfectly. I'll do some fluid measurements and post the results.

Oil filter relocation plate, 1/2" thick aluminum. Down 3/4" and 7* forward tilt. Should make oil changes a breeze without completely relocating the housing.

Well the relocation/clocking plate won't work...I made a mistake using the filter gasket as a template. The filter side of the equation is more complicated than the black side. One of the high pressure oil galley's ended up over a fastener. I could install the block plate and then fill over the fastener with epoxy but this permanent solution scares me. Oh well not a detrimental modification. Onward.

What does the filter housing look like? I just made a relocation kit for the 4bd that relocates the stock g
Filter head. If you have a spare head and want to ship it to me I can develop a remote kit for it

That is a very generous offer and is much appreciated. Kock already makes a relocation kit for $123, not unreasonable I think. Problem is space is limited in the Cherokee for a complete relocation. All that is really needed is a forward tilt of a couple degree to clear the firewall lip. I have to loosen the transmission mount bolts and jack up the rear of the engine to change the oil as is. Could be worse I guess, only adds 20min.

No problem.I don't know much about the Mercedes swaps but I am always checking in on your build. Your conversion has come out very nice and. I plan to convert a cherokee similar to your soon. I will develop a complete kit hopefully.
