I think a 200 would hold up. Also I like the gearing more then a 700r4 and it has a deeper OD.

I don't know yet. I really want to know how these motors will act with an auto.

Ken,

You can control the 4L60E manually with 3 switches. Someone out there may have a "shifter" available that does this. The toggle switches on the dash look a little "backyard" to me. My new Jeep shifter appears to do this?? It has the P N R D locations. Then you tap the stick sideways to up and downshift in D.

The 200 transmission would hold up. They can be built pretty tough if needed. $$

I am waiting in the background for someone to try the auto transmission. (I'm hoping you go with the 4L60E so you can sort out my problems.)

Let me know if you get a group buy going on your SBC adapters.

The 4BT Cummins to 400 turbo adapter actually had an 8* tilt. I built one of these a few years ago. Something looked "broken" in the engine bay due to the tilt. The tilted engine ran fine with no ill effects from the tilt.

The group buy will be happening as soon as I get everything tested and fitted. I will start up my motor with the stock starter and then swap everything over and fire it with my adapter and starter. I will take videos and post them when it happens. Should be this weekend. I am picking up the flex plate this week.

thanks

here are pictures taken his morning.
the flex plate my brother had ended up being a 168 tooth just like my flywheel
i am waiting on a starter to show up for the final test.

153 tooth starter to block clearance, can't get much more compact.

without the starter I fitted up my flywheel but forgot to take pictures.

If anyone is interested in purchasing an adapter kit please pm me. Looking at doing a run of at least 5 units

thanks

Okay Everyone, its a Go time

Finally found some time and finished up the second adapter, I got a 153 tooth Small block chevy flexplate, bolted her all together and hit the starter fired within the first few revolutions!

Mostly I had to make small changes nothing to drastic. The gear reduction starter cranks with no problems and faster then my kubota starter.

So here is the deal, they are now listed on Ebay, I have already got material to run 8 complete units. I want to do a group by of some sort to try to get prices down and more reasonable.

I will not post sales details here but will but in the basement Enterprise area of Diesel bombers here.

Wow, that is truly amazing friend.

it looks like you made a custom exhaust manifold? Do you have any more pics of that?

Yes, that manifold is temporary. I made flanges and for now just built a zoomie like header to get the exhaust exiting away from my hovercraft(lime green thing in the pictures)

once I get my turbo, looking at a gt1752 from a saab, I will build a low mount manifold.

any thoughts on this turbo? I think usedkubotaman used it.

most of the folks seem to have gone to the turbo from the VW1.8 gasser, or the TD04L-10 from a 3.3 cummins. I am not sure what was wrong with the 1752, I am pretty sure it was discussed in his thread somewhere
