Your so welcome. Now get to work we're looking for great things to come. The adapter already shows you're capable of it. The most important outcome is a happy feeling at the end of each project.. Have fun. Bioman.

Ok, out playing with the tape measure and finding things are going to be snug on the driver side of my engine bay. I just made another SBC adapter with a couple revisions but thinking of making another with a 10* tilt to the passenger side, similar to the cummins Chevy adapters. This will free up some room for my turbo and manifold to exit down and centered like I plan. I don't have alot of hood clearance so I can't have the turbo up high.

I am already making exhaust flanges and will make the custom manifold( will also be available once proven)

I am making my own pan so I see no problems there. Any problems with tilting?

thanks
ken

Hello yellow: sounds like a typical project (oops that not going to work like I thought) ha ha! Just a thought befor you make a new plate, and since you are already making the exhaust manifold. Think "Remote Turbo Mount". There is a company that make kits for full size pickups, they mount in the exhaust pipe under the bed. so it can work. Could save a lot of room, and would be cheaper than making a new offset plate. Got hauled into ER yesterday, looking like another back surgery. Got to take it easy for a while, hope to prove them wrong. I'm down now, but I'm not out. To many projects left. Time for the grand kids to adopt some of them. They need time away from the xbox.

I'm sorry to hear that Dan. Another surgery sucks. But on a side note. I am up for adoption.

about the remote turbo setup. I have done this on my 1968 gto with a 455. Turbo was mounted where the muffler should have been. Was pretty fun but I would worry about the exhaust loosing to much heat. And having a tilted adapter available may be useful for some swap so spending the time and having that option wouldn't be to bad.

thanks

I hear you, but you might have more room on the other side of the engine or somewhere else in the engine compartment. Also if you're planing on compounds it might not be an issue. Just ideas when the (oops) pops up. The back ordeal I'm sure I survive it again, been thru it twice on my back and twice on my neck, and I still do more than alot of able bodied people. As far as adoption, Do your tools & toys come with??????

Sure tools, toys, wife ,kids and animals. Oh yea and my whining about the cold... It was a horrible 76* today. I don't do well in the cold.

I am not sure about compounds anymore. Yes the engine bay is tight. But it is a little tiny light weight truck. It should have no problem pushing thru a little lag.

on the passenger side with be the battery. Dual remote oil filters, Remote fuel filter, and alternator. I have built in fender wells, so most of those can be mounted on top of those, minus alternator of course. My thinking is if I tilt it to hug the passenger fender well it will allow more room around my motor mounts and steering shaft for a down pipe. We will see

Sounds good, and we know you have a good eye. I would put the bobcat pan on and hang it in, and you will know most of what need to know but the "oops". But then you figure them out. COLD it's almost 11 pm and it's still 43 above. Keeps the riffraff out.

Finally got time to tinker on the Kubota. Put oil in, some diesel, primed the lift pump, cracked injectors, cranked till they were flowing , tightened injectors back up, cycled the glow plugs and she fired after about a minute of playing with it. a total of about 20 minutes. Starts instantly. I do have a bad head gasket. Got exhaust coming out of my thermostat housing.

now this is okay by me. Its an IDI, I will fit up my adapters and make sure all the bugs are worked out. Looking for a flywheel for a 153 tooth Chevy. I picked up a nice gear reduction starter but it is not for my 168 tooth flywheel. Once I get my hands on one I will throw my adapter on it and see how they work.

also in the air about a transmission. Not picky either manual or auto. Got a rebuilt 4l60e given to me by my brother, I don't really want to buy an expensive controller so I am looking into a stock diesel 91-93 truck/ van comp. Or I may trade it for a 200r4.

I think a 200 would hold up. Also I like the gearing more then a 700r4 and it has a deeper OD.

I don't know yet. I really want to know how these motors will act with an auto.

anyways would like a t5 or nv3500, but it may not be in the cards currently

Just a quick note on getting the air out of the fuel system, no need to crack the injectors and crank. There is a bleeder valve and a primer pump, so just loosen the bleeder and pump the primer until all the air is out then close bleeder and screw pump down and it will start right up.
