Default 7.3 to 6.9 engine swap

Picked up a 1993 4\4 f350 reg cab with the factory ats turbo, freshly rebuilt auto trans with overdrive, the truck is super clean no dings or dents, rust free with all the options 1 owner truck, picked it up for a cool grand, the engine had a serious flutter,,valve guide, decided to yard out the current 7.3 and install a good running 1985 6.9,swapping out all the front accesory"s tomorow and am left with a few quistions,,the 6.9 looks like it does not have a tach sensor and that is paramount to transmission working correctly and if thats the case when i transfer the 7.3 housing should i then go ahead and transfer the injection pump and injectors to match the turbo that will be bolted onto the 6.9 as well,, not a real big fan of setting the time, not looking for a hot rod.,thanks in advance for all the posts that have brought me to this point of joining this site and all the information that i have learned from you guys.

I would rebuild the 7.3 if it is indeed a factory turbo engine. It has better internals in so many ways (pistons, rings, wrist pins, con rods, etc.)
