Allisons (not the GM version) don't have a park - just neutral and a parking brake.

 

 

this is good news, ill be using one behind my soon to be new project........

 

the allison in the 4900 intl I was driving had park. and that was behind a 466e.

 

None I have every seen or used have had a park except the GM product.

 

anyone know where i can get the right parts to swap out my 88 360gas for my 91 cummins . both dodges. the 88 is a 4sp manual and 91 is auto. both 4 wheel drive. would like to purchase a nv 4500 for it .

 

i dont see why allison is being bashed if they were garbage then the commercial trucks wouldn't use them. simple as that.

 

Personally, I'd not bash Allison. What I would say though is that you would need to pair the cummins (ISB is a medium duty motor) to the heavier Alli - a 2000 or 2500 if memory serves because the one GM uses currently is specially made for the DMAX.
