Take away some low boost fueling, how much smoke at wot? Can the turbos clean it up? Might have to remove some fuel all the way around.

i think i need to take away fuel all the way around. the turbos clear up the smoke once they spool up and it can be driven totally clean just normal driving but as soon as i lay into the throttle egt's skyrocket. i actually purchased the truck the way it sits and really dont know how to turn the fuel down. back off the smoke screw? turn the starwheel? im lost any help would be greatly appreciated

oh and at an idle of white-ish grey smoke like its to rich or the injectors need to be shimmed or something like that??

For just a quick reference, might try taking the starwheel, tightening it up a little bit, so that its exactly full forward at 60-70 psi, and then taking the smoke screw and setting it so that it barely touches the AFC arm when at rest. It's not the most scientific method, but might get you an idea of whats going on and where to start digging next.

Also do you know what your timing is set at? To much timing will make the truck run hotter as well

I have no idea what the timing is advanced to. Is there a way to check that?

You will have to have a 12 valve timing kit to check it. Becuase I dont think there is any other way. Also are all your intercooler boots in good shape?
