hey,,i have a 98 24 valve cummins, just lately my wait 2 start lamp does not come on,,at all!,,,and the air intake heater doesnt seem to be working,,,,also my raptor lift pump power relay is not being fired!,,,,,,,anyone had this before,,,,i have been told it is the ecm board? i have jummperd a wire from my fuel sys. relay to my lp relay so it will run my lp with the key switch to prevent failure of my injector pump,,but i need to get this figured out!

 

Are there any codes? Checked all the fuses and relays? Maybe clean the battery posts of any corrosion.

 

fuses and relays seem good,,i have got a check engine light that came after the fact that i noticed the wait 2 start/heater not working and lift pump relay not being fired.,,but i havent had the ck engine light looked at yet,

 

If you know of anyone with a code reader get them to plug it in and check the codes. If you don't know someone that does, go and buy one. A cheap on that just tells you the code number and erases them will run you less than $20.

 

if u can get it by an oreilys, or autozone, they will scan it for free for you

well,it seems my problem may be fixed?,,,,i had 4 codes. but i also had a battery cable lug bolt broken causing a bad neg. side connection on one of the 2 batterys! everything is working for the time being,,and the codes i cleared havent reappeared so far. i will keep you posted ,,you recon that was the problem all along?? thanks for the help!
