I just got my AirDog 165 about a month ago. Pressure was factory set at 17 psi. Now all of a sudden my pressure is at 30 psi. I checked the pressure regulator and jam nut is tight. I then loosened it and turned counter clockwise 1 turn, pressure went down to 28 psi, I then went another full turn with no change. Im thinking its either the pump regulator or the fuel pressure gauge. Either way, can I hurt my cp3 injection pump running motor at 30 psi, lift pump pressure. Thanks

 

i belive the relieve valve should open if needed and return fuel so it doesent hurt anything

 

I called the tech at AirDog named Ryan and he put me on right track. He told me to back off pressure set screw all the way out , then turn it all the way in which should remove air-air bubble from regulator and reset fuel pressure regulator. Well it worked out for me and the pressure came right back into adjustment. I then set pressure at 19 pounds and rolled some coal on the way home.
