My buddy owns an old Toyota Hilux and has an axle seal leak. I noticed that the oil from the axle was leaking on the inside and outside of his rim. I was looking at my 93 ram 2500 the other day and noticed some stuff on the front driver's side rim that looked like gear oil and it also smelled kinda bad, but i didn't notice any on the inside or my rim. However, later that day it looked like it had evaporated. Every morning there appears to be some kind of liquid that looks like oil on the rim that has evaporated by the end of the day. Is it an axle seal leak or is my dog pissin on my tire EVERY morning? The front axle is a Dana 60 on a 4x4 Cummins.

 

oil will not evaporat a dog or a cat? oil just don't evaporat like that the smlls bad sounds like a cat good luck you could cover the wheel and see?

 

thats what im thinking, but if it is my dog hes coating that son bitch pretty good.
Haven't seen any wet stuff on it for a few days now so i think im good.
