Default 05 Cummins no throttle

Have a friends 05 Cummins who is a member here, Blackpearlcummins, anyway the truck has been a nightmare lately, and just yesterday went and took the bullydog out of it and returned it to stock, ran fine after that, then installed PPE xcellerator and fired up the truck and everything seemed to be working fine, until I went to step on the throttle, and nothing, no change from idle, couldn't go anywhere faster than just whatever idle would let it speed up to, so i thought it might have been the PPE causing something to go haywire, took the PPE out of the truck and still nothing completely stock only now it has a weird idle, it goes from about 750 to 1036 according to the Verus which is some fancy snap on scan tool, so it leads me to think maybe the lift pump isn't working and the CP3 is just sucking what fuel it can out of the fuel filter housing and possibly drawing enough from the tank to keep it running, if not that I wanna say it could be the throttle position sensor, I would do more tests with the Verus, but I don't really know how to use it, any input would be greatly appreciated, oh and i forgot to say i had a friend cycle the key and i can hear the lift pump turning on, doesn't mean it's working well, but i think it is working none the less

after the programmer changes, i don't think it's fuel problems, changed the filter and it took longer to prime than it should have, but it did prime, is there anyway to test the TPS? cause i'm sure it's a function on the Verus that i have at my disposal, but I don't know how to use the thing to its potential, i did the injector tests on it and they passed cause that was also a concern of mine that i knew how to test cause i've done it to my truck to make sure all my stuff was working, and where exactly is the TPS?
