Hey guys, my '03 started cutting out last week. Sometimes when i start it it will die or almost die after running 5 seconds or so. Now it has started getting dead pedal. Im getting 2121 and 2122, also the code for the SKIM not in key, forget the number. I assume that one is the chip in my key is going bad? Anyway, ive cleaned the connections on the injector harnesses and apps, cleaned almost every connection i can find. I assume its the APPS, but for $400 i wanna be sure. Is there a procedure on testing the apps? This is an early '03, the apps is on the engine, not under the battery (i learned after tearing out the battery, inner fender, etc

 

The cutting out and dying sure sounds like a bad lift pump. What is your fuel pressure?

 

I replaced the factory lift pump with an upgraded external pump 6 months ago. Don't have a gauge. It acted like this when the pump was bad, but that doesn't explain the codes or check engine light. I'm pretty sure it's a bad connection or apps
