I think I willleave the chip until I get it to die one more time so I can make sure and try to get my scanner to communicate with the processor and then I will pull the chip and see if it dies after that..Thanks for all the help

Which chip do you have?

It's very possible there is a connection issue between the chip and the PCM, as Lange said.

Let us know what you find.

i had the old superchip that plugged into the PCM and if you hit the smallest bump just right it would shut my truck off, but you could hit a speed bump doin 20 and nothing would happen, but lets all of us know what it is, good luck!

Yeah I think your right about the small bumps shutting it off but a big bump won't even make a difference in it. I guess its time to start looking for a new program. Any suggestions on a down load for a 2000 F-250 7.3L that has a trailor on it all the time it seems. Needs lots of power with out the high EGT.... Oh yeah It has a 4" exhaust also..... THanks

Beans or PHP for a 6 pos TS style chip, if you need a new chip.

Otherwise like Lange said, use a little 'ol' redneck stay there" and tape the chip into the housing.

i weighed my options and i thought the 5 dollar roll of duct tape was better than a 400 dollar chip ha, but now i don't have it anymore and have that 400 dollar chip
