01 pcm in a 98.5 dodge??

does anyone know which pcms will work for a 98.5 24v dodge. I believe mine is fried and a guy has one for an 01 sittin at his garage. Will it work?

I am not positive, but maybe. IF it will, you will have to have it programmed by Dodge. Is it an auto or stick PCM?

it is a 5 speed. can you "flash" them with a smarty??

i talked with the dodge stealership and they said that the PCM will only work if it is from another 98.5. the PCM does not work from any other year. They cost $212 with a 125 core charge from them. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Just have to get it towed there,pay them to put it on the machine to check it($89) and pay them to install it.
