no codes present. my bro is coming over tommorow with his snap-on modus to data stream it to check sensors

 

The modis will let you read the engine sensors to insure you are build ICP and such, but I am still thinking the PCM is not properly programed. Even if it comes off an identical truck as yours, the strategy in it could be different. I think there are like 80 different strategies. Thats why when getting custom tunes you have to give the tuner your stategy numbers.

And if you're able to connect now, but there's no codes, and it won't start.

Where as before you couldn't even connect to look for codes.

I'm confident your PCM was the problem, and you just need the new one flashed by the dealer. Unfortunately, I don't think the PCM will communicate with the truck properly without the dealer flash. So scannin it with a Modis won't do you much good I don't think. Even if it is communicating, it may not be doing so accurately.
