I just bought a 05 cummins 4x4. I didn't notice a squealing when I bought it. But now when I excelling the turbo changes tunes like squalling. How can i check the turbo out. BTW I have a afe intake and cat delete. Thanks for the info. LOVE the site.

 

Remove the intake and check for play by grabbing the shaft and see if you can pull it back and forth or side to side movement.

 

I had a squealing noise in mine also. Turned out to be bad oil pump.
Dealer said bad sending unit,drive it until we get another. They
ended up replacing my motor from bad oil pump which caused
turbo bearings to go out and ruined motor.

 

Thanks I will check the turbo...(hope its not the oil pump...)
