dodge truck trans problem
im not sure whats going on but this is whats happening. about 2 weeks ago i almost ran out of diesel i got to the gas station right on time to fill it up. but the minute i started it and put it back on drive the truck lauched on me. i was holding the break and it was still pulling hard. i dint pay any attention to it so i drove it on the freeway with no problem when i got to the exit and stoped it felt like it was pulling i put it on neutral and nothing then i put it in reverse and then i felt it pull but not as hard i took it home changed out the trans fluid and filter thinking it might be dirty started it again and still the same problem what do you guys think? trans going out? thanks in advanced i also got these codes p2509 p2609

It might be the torque converter not releasing the lockup properly. I have worked on a couple of trannys that the converter would not release at all and every time you tried to put it in gear it would kill the engine.

P2509 and P2609

I'm betting the codes and the lockup problem is due to the batteries.

Batteries can cause this. With winter coming, getting them checked is a good idea anyway.

Make sure both batteries are fully charged if checking them!! A good battery will test bad if it is low / dead. If one ( / both) is low, check the electrical connections real well (Even on the alternator) and if you don't find any corrosion, check for a drain on the battery when the truck is off!
