99 F250 Starting Hard Getting Worse
#11
Damaged o-rings on the injectors could definitely cause it. The only thing separating the oil from the fuel at the injectors is one o-ring. The oil pressure is from 500 to 3000 psi depending on load and rpm and the fuel pressure is 60 so a bad o-ring would let the oil cross into the fuel side and run as fuel. This makes for large oil use and very hard starting because although oil will run it is very hard to get it lo light in a cold engine.
