got the pump but the motherfudger
ok the pumps in. i now the lines got drained out wen i ripped the ole one out. i tried bumping it while i had it hooked up to jumper cABLES because it was low on batt juice. anyways it still fires good but it just wont run. i sprayed a couple shots of starting fluid in it and it wanted to bump but it did everything but run, it even sounded like it was about to run for a couple seconds but it never stayed running? im pissed. idk what now im thinking maybe what they call "priming the system" is what i need to do, can somebody explain to me what that is? and maybe try to tell me how to do it? im kind of mad rght now because im losing my house and i need to move in a month, therefore id like if i didnt have to tow it.

does it smoke at all from the tail pipe when cranking if it does you at east know the injectors are firing. check the hpop for oil, just remove the fill plug, hpop plug located in front of fuel filter and to the right of alt. ( left of alt if you standing in front of truck. its an allen headed plug. hpop should be full of oil, fill if necessary. another possibility is a icp sensor failure. do you have a way to monitor icp/ipr pressure with a scanner forgot but it should have at least 300-400psi to fire injectors. you should see it ramp well over 1000psi if you continue to crank eng. , if not or anyway unplug the electrical connection on top of the icp sensor and try to start it up. if it starts replace icp sensor.

ya i noticed it does smke a bit from the tailpipe, but i guess it could have been the bit of ether i sprayed in it eh? na hopefully not. but ok ill look at that icp and stuff. what exactly does the icp sensor do my friend? juss curious, i like diesels so i might as well learn while i have one

ive also noticed that the diesel in my truck has a blue tinge to it. i know its supposed to be yellow, so i know thats probly gonna be a fun problem
oh yea i forgot no i dont have anything to monitor anything, ill have to see what i can do about that tomorrow but i do think its firing somewhat, just dont think its getting fuel or sumthing idk, thanks though. i cant wait til i get it running and ive spent everything i ever made on it

icp= injector control pressure ( sensor ) it tells the computer what the injector pressure is. normally 300-500psi at idle. up to around 3000 to 3500psi full load. if this sensor fails you may have no starts or running problems.
the color of you diesel may not be a problem. there is blue diesel out there. its mainly seen for use in heavy industrial equipment and marine equip. alot of the normal on road diesel can look green, yellow, orange or even clear.
