It will be fine....I went so far as putting some grease on a qtip to make sure there wasnt any chips left. Some people have drilled them with the engine running as well.

As for the EGT's for sustained operation, I wouldnt go past 1200F

Im ordering the phantom 2 autometer gauges off ebay!! Which gauges do the best job as far as quality and performance???

I personally dont like autometers - prefer Isspro EV series or DiPricol guages.

Thanks!!!!! Should I not try adjusting my boost elbow untill I get my gauge installed?

I wouldnt mess with it until you get the boost gauge
