Sorry no update yet guys. I need to get a gauge to test trans pressure and not sure of the proper port to test. I was told that if it is over 1.5lbs on the proper port the governor solenoid is bad. I may take it to this trans shop who said they would test it for free and tell me what the problem is. I would really like a manual on these transmissions so if anyone knows were to get one for trouble shooting and overhauls let me know.

 

If it's starting in second, might be in limp mode. You able to run past 45??

 

Limp mode?? It only starts in second after coming to a stop. When you first take off after initial start up it does begin in first gear and yeas it will go well above 45.

 

Was only tossing an idea out there.

Well not done much been busy at work. I have sent a few private messages to some of the members who said it sounds like the Governor Solenoid to see is they could either tell me were to get the upgraded solenoid that I have heard about and possibly a transmission manual/guide or advise me how to test and change this out. I have yet to get any reply's. So I did call a transmission shop that was recommend and described my problem and they said just come by and they would diagnose it for free. So I may just have to do that at least then I will know for sure (hopefully) what the problem is.
