When you use the Cascade you only need about 2 cups, make sure you pre-mix in a bucket with a gallon of water, make sure it is all dissolved, pour it in and top it off with water.

With as bad as you are saying it is you should run it for 100 miles or so like that, drain re-fill with fesh water run for another 100, drain and fill with your coolant of choice.

When I cleaned mine out I put the Cascade mix in and ran it for about a week back and forth to work, then dumped and ran it another week with just fresh water in it.

well i dont get the part till wendsday, i flushed as much as i could threw the head, block and radiator today, till minimal sludge came out, i need to be able to leave for canda friday afternoon, so, im just hopeing the new head gasket, torqued to 135ft-lb and a new oil cooler with gaskets will solve this issue

ok guys i got the new oil cooler put in tonight. i got the truck running and let idle for a few minuts, noticed a puddle of just engine oil, it was pissing out the bottom of the oil cooler, what the hell is going on

seals are prand new and the oil cooler was pressur tested and came back positive

would it be posible to build a plate and weld adapters on it and put an cooler in front of the radiator kinda like a tranny cooler

well i got the head gasket replaced and the same oil cooler put back in with new gaskets and the damn thing is still pulling this crap. tomarrow im goin to flush the system and see if it still does it. if it does im goin to put the new/used oil cooler in and see it it clears up if not my thery is a cracked head
