Default A Little Duramax Help Please!

Just had a call from a friend , his 01 D-Max is having some issues , it has just under 200 000 kms on the clock , the last couple days it has been running rough at idle , and started losing power, it's also blowing oil out of the breather tube on the right front corner of the engine , enough to coat the underside of the truck he says...

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks, Jayme.

First guess would be a hole in a piston. 2nd would be broken rings.

Bad injectors buddy

Tell him to pull his dipstick and see if he feels/smells diesel fuel.

Hows his oil pressure.

Same thing happened to me when mine took a crap on me, i was towing and it blew diesel fuel out my breather tube all over my under body and boat i was towing.

He could take it to the dealer to get it fixed under warranty.

Got it back from the shop , 8 new injectors , and they did warranty it, funny thing though , the two days after my friends truck laid down on him , our shop truck did the exact same thing, 8 new injectors for it also.
