Tranny was rebuilt at 200k motor now has 434 on it, hes got a cooler in the truck already , last owner cooked his tranny same one i think. yea hes got some work to do,,thanks for your info greasemonkey, ill get him to read it, hes out touring in mammas car right now. i think we got a ford tranny on the 54? which has a 350 chevy in it.. wonder if that would fit?

 

problem with the 93 is it's electronically controlled instead of hydraulic/mechanical, 92 was the last year of the hyd/mech trans in the chevy trucks. so even if it would physically fit, it wouldn't work.

btw, what 54 do you have? I'm in the middle of helping a guy do a frame of rebuild of his 54 F100 with a chevy 327/700r4 in it...

 

heres his truck here.. so i do understand how the motor works to the tranny cause i took one apart and put it back together, I know zip about the tranny except where the spindle goes into the fly wheel.. I nailed my knuckels on the fly wheel so i remember that well..
