1999 5.9L idles fine but no power under load
I have a 1999 Coachman RV with a 5.9L Cummins Diesel. It starts, idles, and revs in place no problem. But when driving it has no power most of the time. On a level surface, it might go 10 - 15 mph, it won't make it up even the slightest incline. The check engine light is on. The gas peddle can go to the floor and the engine doesn't rev. Once in a great while if I pump the gas, the engine will accelerate and the RV takes off. I changed the fuel filter and water separator. I'm hoping its just a part that I can replace myself and avoid the time and expense of having it towed to a shop.
