No Brakes or Power Steering
I have a 2005 Ford F250 6.0 Powerstroke TurboDiesel truck. This morning it was cold (20 degrees) and the truck started fine. I let it idle for a minute, then stepped on the brake and put it in reverse. I heard a small pop, and the brake pedal went down and got hard. The power steering also stopped working. I know that he systems are tied together on the diesel motor and it has the hydroboost. I checked the belt, and it is intact and turning properly. There is no fluid leaking under the truck. The power steering pump has been working fine, not making any noises, and I am wondering if it was just the temp, or if I broke something on the truck. Please help!

Is this going to be a power steering pump issue or is there something else that it could be?

ok, after 15 minutes of warming up and above freezing temps, the steering and brakes are working again. Any ideas of what may have caused this so it dosnt happen again in the morning??
