6.0 turbo problems

Shorty after I bought my 06 6.0 the turbo start making a bad screeching sound I've researched it and checked my boots on the hot side and they were fine I unplugged the Vgt solenoid and the sound stops I have also noticed a loss of power of the start. Am I needing to replace the turbo or what please help
